JOURNALISTS TRAINED ON ETHICAL CONDUCT AND PROFESSIONALISM (Demo)

Over fifty Journalists in Central Uganda have benefited from a three day training on ethical conduct and professionalism organized by Human Rights Network for Journalists- Uganda.

During the training, aimed at improving the ethical conduct, journalists were equipped with knowledge and skills about journalism ethics. The training that took place on 15th to 17 February 2017 at Garden Courts in Masaka district was conducted by JB Wasswa, a lecturer at Department of Journalism and Mass communication, Makerere University.

The Project Officer of HRNJ-UGANDA, Prosy Ogwang in charge of the regional Training on Ethical Codes and Professionalism said Journalists in the region were receptive to the training and shared ideas on the ethical challenges they face on a daily basis. She said similar training will be held in Karamoja region.

Beneficiaries came from the districts of Kalangala, Sembabule, Lwengo, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi, Mukono and Masaka.
