Human Rights Network for Journalists-Uganda (HRNJ-Uganda) is delighted to be closing the year 2015. We are overly grateful to our esteemed members; the journalists, their editors, managers and directors of the respective media houses and news agencies both local and international. We have worked with you tirelessly to defend and promote media freedom and freedom of expression in such a challenging environment characterized with attacks, administrative sanctions, retrogressive legal regimes among others. We are greatly indebted to our various development partners who have stood with us on this front to deliver on our mandate. We anticipate a lot of work and challenges ahead of us especially as we monitor, report and observe the 2016 elections. HRNJ-Uganda wishes all its various stakeholders a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New year 2016.
