Press Freedom Index -2022 Uncertain Future for the Media

The Press Freedom Index report is the 14th edition, and it seeks to build on previous PFIs to highlight the state of press freedom in Uganda. The report shows that in 2022, journalists and media practitioners in Uganda remained challenged by the hostile environment in which they operate. From the political point of view, the state continued to harass and intimidate journalists considered critical.
